What is Early Music?
Early music is defined as musical compositions, especially Western art music, composed prior to the Classical era. This includes Medieval and Renaissance music, as well as Baroque music.
The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.
– Johann Sebastian Bach
